(Note: This only works in IE FireFox and Chrome blocked the popup. I haven't figured out yet how to allow it in them.)

First  find the person you wish to make a connection with after you have logged in.

1. Click on their name or their picture
2. On the screen that opens, just under the pictures of members near the top is a connections button, click on that button a drop down menu will appear
3. Click Request Connection
4. A pop up box will appear. Enter a personal welcoming message
5. Click Submit
6. A pop up message will appear saying the connection is pending acceptance. Click ok. Repeat for the next person
